Alba Murcia

Alba Murcia is a Consultant working with The Development Hub.

Alba works across a range of research and project management activities here at the Development Hub. She coordinates the Development Hub’s podcast ‘The Power Shift: Decolonising Development’, supports work on gender and marginalisation, decolonisation and business ethics, as well as supporting our marketing and media engagement work.

She holds a Bachelor of International Relations from King’s College London and a Masters of Science in Gender, Development and Globalisation from the London School of Economics.

Her research interests are at the intersection of decolonial feminism and resistance in Latin America, with a particular focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights and LGBTQ+ rights. Her Masters dissertation employed decolonial feminist knowledge and practice to analyse territorio cuerpo-tierra in the context of Latin American indigenous feminisms.
